International Consultant Epileptologist for Rare and Genetic Disorders

Dr. Pong provides a unique service to international patients with difficult-to-treat epilepsies via one-time teleconsultation to provide second opinion.

Goals:

To review all provided past data (EEG, MRI, genetic testing, labwork and physician records) prior to 1st appointment.
To evaluate the patient with parent(s) present with an in-depth tele-visit.
To synthesize and classify all the information (seizure types, seizure syndrome, underlying cause).
To identify mechanistic pathways for treatment based on data provided.
To provide a finely detailed, logistical, recommended path forward in terms of diagnostic testing, management and treatment that family can bring home to their treating neurologist.
